The Table of Banter
The westernised idea of a formal living room is the par of the course in the design of the house today, with the centre table being the nuclei of a regimental arrangement. Historically, as humans, we inertly crave engagement with the ground. That was an integral part of the brief while conceptualising this table.
The ‘table of banter’ is an inconspicuous twist to the centre table designed in reclaimed teak wood topped with a grey marble and finished in brass accents.
A pivoting set of drawers hide away the objects that show face during an informal encounter. The table prides itself in hosting a casual conversation, a cosy games night or even a bite-sized buffet, depending on the environment of the space around it.
